 Edwina Geiling Dairy Cottage Scholarship

          The Edwina Geiling Dairy Cottage Scholarship was established in 2009 by Herb Geiling in memory of his mother. This was a pass-through scholarship available for only a limited time. Primary consideration was given to Franklin County High School students who were employed at the Dairy Cottage restaurant.

          Edwina Mary Geiling was born on July 18, 1929, in Laurel County, Kentucky.  She moved to Franklin County, Indiana, where she lived most of her life.  She married Herb Geiling on April 7, 1951 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Brookville. Edwina was employed at the Dairy Cottage in Brookville for 35 years of her life. Two scholarships were awarded in her honor in the spring of 2011.
