Mabel & Maurice Brackney Scholarship

                 The Mabel and Maurice Brackney Scholarship was established in 1999 by Karen and Tom Niedenthal in honor of Karen's parents to provide an annual scholarship to a graduating FCHS student for the purposes of furthering their education.

                Mabel and Maurice were life-long residents of Brookville, living their entire married life at 149 Division Street. The couple had one child, Karen Brackney Niedenthal. Education was always important their home. Mabel finished the 8th grade at Plum Grove School. Maurice graduated from Brookville High School where he was a member of the school paper.

                This scholarship was created to honor the Brackney's because they truly believed through education life's dreams could be attained.
